I will be shooting a small portrait of the exceptional Portuguese bassist Carlos Bica and his band Azul. Carlos and his collaborators Frank Möbus (g) and Jim Black (d) are some of the most accomplished Jazz musicians of their generation. You can hear one of their tracks in my film Dilli Dreams (see below). Make sure to visit their website at carlosbica.com and buy their wonderful albums. Stay tuned for more.
My short Dilli Dreams has secured a distribution deal in France. It will be screened with feature films in cinemas in France as part of a programme subsidized by the French Ministry for Culture.
My short The Way Up has been accepted for the Festival de Cannes Short Film corner. I will be there in May promoting the film with producer Cathal Lyons.
